 | Caroline WenckI am the sister, niece, cousin, sister- in -law, aunt, mother, and friend of individuals with disabilities. I learned at a very early age that our society is not always kind and accepting of people who look, speak, or act differently. I have devoted my life and career to trying to change that. I feel strongly that all individuals regardless of background, opportunity or ability level should be included equally in the life and culture of society and community. I am honored to be the director of the Scan 360 One Stop Family Center. I feel that our center is making a real difference in the lives of persons with disabilities and their families. We provide not only information, referral, education, and advocacy, but support, comfort, and understanding as well.
I am occasionally asked what is my favorite quote, I will share it here, as I feel that is sums up who I am and why I do what I do; “I will behave as if what I do makes a difference.” Extension: 100 Website: caroline.wenck@scan360.org |
 | Luz FloresI am the mother of a handsome, intelligent, and active 13 year old who has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Thirteen years ago I decided to enter into the world of human services after working as an administrative assistant; I was preparing myself for what was to come. I am thankful to my son because I have been able to learn and put into practice my experiences with the families I now serve.
Luz has been at SC@N 360 since July of 2006 and is our only Spanish bilingual Family Navigator. Extension: 101 Website: luz.flores@scan360.org |
